I find the easiest way is to drill small holes about a foot apart around the frame of the door. This is where I screw in cup hooks which I later connect my garland to. My garland is made with wires and therefore is easy to attach to the cup hooks.

What colour to pain my front door.
My house is gray brick ( with some black brick throughout) . It's the type of house that you see the front door and garage door. I painted the garage door gray-- as to not let the focus go on it. The front door is burgundy, but I want to change it and add some POW. Any suggestions for a colour?. The front of the house faces north, so there is hardly any sun.
