The answer depends on the laminate manufacturer's acceptable moisture emission rating in your basement concrete. Harmony Underlayment does offer moisture protection but the laminate manufacturer's recommendations must be considered.

answer 2
As long as your basement floor meets the flooring manufacturer's criteria for acceptable moisture emissions then you can install without the use of dricore panels.

The flooring manufacturer's recommendations for underlayment use must be followed so I would check with them. The use of underlayment will increase cushioning between the flooring and subfloor and increase sound reduction, add comfort and moisture protection on spills from above.

Yes, you will still need to use an underlayment when using the DRIcore subfloor. I hope this helps.

We are planning to install laminate in our basement, which is concrete, what should we lay under the laminate? Is this product Unison 2-in-1 Underlay enough

Bare concrete in a basement most likely exceeds the recommended moisture content allowed by the laminate manufacture. Their instructions must be followed and most likely they will ask for a 6 mil polyethylene film below Unison 2-in-1 Underlayment in a basement. For concrete subfloors we recommend using the Unison 2-in-1 together with a 6 mil Polyethylene Film, such as Roberts 70-115 MoistureBarricade. If you are in a condo on or above grade, switching to Harmony 3-in-1 Underlayment will give you higher sound dampening ratings, etc. that may be required by your condo management. You should also consult the laminate manufacture's recommendation as well to make sure their warranty criteria is followed with respect to underlayment requirements. Providing all the conditions outlined by the laminate flooring manufacturer are met, you can use Unison 2-in-1 Underlayment over well-bonded vinyl tiles. They may suggest using a 6-mil polyethylene film in conjunction with Unison.
