It can be put over existing tile, but it's not really recommended. The flatter the surface the better. However, if you just want to place it over the tile you'll have to sand everything down to make it as flat as possible in order for the wall kit to fit properly without warping, bubbling or even avoid mold & mildew build up.

It depends on the thickness of your original tile. If it is thin then you can finish the edge by calulking, if it is thicker tile you may need some type of molding / edging to cover the existing tile so you don't see it

Can it be cut around a window?

The answer to your question is Yes depending on the size of the window and the position of the window. The two corner caddies (shelving units in the corners) can't be cut but the flat piece in the middle / back can be. If the size of your window allows you to stay within the measurements of the flat piece you are ok to cut.

The tub wall kit just covers the walls above the tub. It can be installed over existing ceramic but as per the instructions the tile needs to be sanded (to take the shine off it) and must be clean and dry to allow the adhesive (PL700) to work properly.

Question
Does the frame of the tub add length to the 60" or is the total length including frame 60"?
I took out a 58" tub, the walls are 60" apart exactly but the plumbing is out from the wall. Will this 60" tub fit in there, or does the frame of the tub add a couple inches?

Do the edges of the panels need to be glued together.
The panels overlap in this kit. Should there be glue inbetween the panels where they overlap or should the caulking be able to hold them together smoothly?
