.I heard soil temp must be 10+ degrees before application or nematodes could die. Is this correct?

I've read that too, that the soil should be in the 10-15 degree range before applying the nematodes. I think it has more to do with making sure the grub larvae are nice and close to the surface so the nematodes can find them more easily; after all, the nematodes are stored in fridges that are a lot cooler than ten degrees.

Wait for lawn to thaw out i.e. mid to late Spring. Ground should be wet so predatory nematodes 'can swim' to the grubs/ asian lili beetle larva... Applied with clean hose attachment sprayer (that has no insecticide residue). May irrigate after application of Grub Busters to help nematodes travel down to grubs. thanks

I bought the nematodes & the sprayer attachment for my garden hose. The nematodes come in a sponge -- you fill the sprayer attachment with water and put the sponge in the water. Secure the lid and shake it up for a minute or two. Attach the garden hose and start spraying, beginning with the most affected areas of your lawn. You'll notice the water level in the sprayer attachment decreasing as you spray; you're finished when it is. And yes, all of this was in the instructions that came with the nematodes.

Oh, before you start all of that, try to apply the nematodes to a wet lawn in the evening (and if your lawn has been recently aerated, even better). The nematodes need to soak into the soil with the water, but they're sensitive to sunlight.

Question
What is the true process for applying these?
The "globe" and the intsructions on the can that is supposed to go with it are not entirely clear. I held up the line at the store today while the "expert" helped me. HA. It is a yearly control if you have them...which my entire neighbourhood does, hence, I do too. What I do know...soak the lawn first.....apply the mixture with water.....keep the lawn moist (keep watering) for two days to completly sink in. It is supposed to be applied now (after the first dry spell in July so they come to the surface). The entire process with this product is not clear....60$ for two.....BETTER WORK with the knowledge I have! IF NOT, well, back to professional grub control......100$...worth the extra to "not" do it yourself. Let's see.
