They pretty much specify power.. cc is similar to horsepower... for instance... if you purchase a snow thrower that is 9 horse power... You can get a 270cc Snow Thrower which would pretty much be similiar in power.. 30cc roughly equals 1 horse power.

No, the range provided is a guideline for average snow fall. It will still work well if snow accumulation is under the 6 inch range.
