The estimated cost per sq.ft. for basic laminate installation is about $2.75 and that doesn't not include the laminate or underpad. I hope this helps.

Steam cleaners can damage laminate floors, due to the steam being forces into the joints. We highly recommend "not" using steam cleaners on your laminate floor

Yes. Pergo® laminate flooring is designed for interior use only and is suitable for use in cottages, sun rooms, and other locations that are not heated year round.

The planks must acclimate in the room they will be installed in for at least 2-4 days prior to installation so they can adjust to local temperature and humidity conditions.

A minimum temperature of 65 degrees F must be maintained for at least 2 days prior to installation, during installation and 2 days after installation with the humidity level between 30-90%.

Cottages or homes that are closed without adequate ventilation during hot and humid seasons will exhibit “closed house syndrome” where the interior humidity level rises above 90%. Ventilation of these cottages or homes is highly recommended. Consult your building contractor for recommendations.

Water will not damage the surface of the Pergo floor. Standing water, water puddles and spills left on the surface of the floor longer than 30 minutes could damage joints in the floor.

It’s been our experience (in more than 25 years of product use) that the appearance of scratches dissipates over time. The "sharp" edge of the scratch becomes more rounded, and less likely to reflect light.

Any hard surface floor can be scratched from the dirt embedded in the soles of shoes and tracked into the house and from normal traffic. We recommend that felt protectors be used on furniture legs, all moveable furniture. Be sure to use mats at the exterior of all of the entry doors and also an interior walk-off mat at the foot of the door to catch grit and dirt that could be tracked into the home and across the finished flooring. Pet nails may cause surface scratches. We do recommend keeping pet nails trimmed at all times.

Question
unsure
it appears on a few of the planks they have a faint milky colour smear what can I use to clean these smears off and not do damage to the product. I'm not sure if these spots are a manufactor defeat or my contractors drop pait/caulking products on the floor and did not clean these areas well. Please help.

We recommend using ammonia and water. You will need to mix 1/3 cup of household ammonia to a gallon of water. Then mix in a spray bottle and lightly mist your floor. Do not wet mop it. You may allow the solution to remain on the floor for a maximum of 5 minutes. Then remove with a damp cotton cloth or mop. Do not use a sponge mop this will leave streaks on your floor. It may require several applications before it is removed. If this does not work for you please contact your local retailer to file a claim. Have a good weekend!
