Question
Insulation on slab?
What is recommended as an insulation material when placing directly on concrete? Instructions say only 'appropriate' insulation material, websites are no help and DIY forums don't speak to the issue.

The heating cable will heat the slab first, since it is only 105 watts of power we really recommend putting down on the slab so it will creat a barrier and that the heat will not go down. Home-Depot carries a product call Easy-Mat it will go on the concrete and the cable will be glued to the membrane. Thinset and finish your floor. Custom Building is the manufacture of that membrane.

Hope this help you out.
