Yes this lock is easy to program.
Reprogramming instructions can be found on the back of the unit.
Step 1 press the "program button" once to enter the first code (twice to enter a second code)
Step 2 enter the desired code on the exterior panel (can be 4 - 8 digits in length)
Step 3 press the "lock" button on the exterior panel to set the code.
Repeat steps 1-3 to reprogram the code as often as you wish.
It’s really that easy!

The line next to the key slot is part of the SMARTKEY technology. This is where you insert the re-key/programming tool (included with the product) to facilitate rekeying the lock.
SMARTKEY technology allows you to rekey this lock in seconds & as often as you required.

The key slot is there because this lock is SMARTKEY Equipped. SMARTKEY is the highest pick resistance lock available. It also allows you to re-key the lock in seconds. Hope this helps.

Yes this lock is very easy to install.
It fits into most standard door preps & the only tool required is a "Phillips" screw driver. No extra drilling is needed.
Also comes with adjustable latch to facilitate installation.

Yes this lock is very easy to install. It fits standard doors, 1-3/8 to 2" thick & fits into 2-1/8" or 2-3/4" deadbolt holes. It Installs in minutes with just a screw driver and no drilling or wiring required!. Lastly, it runs on 4 AA Batteries. Hope this helps.

The lock was tested in Canada before it went in to production. The exterior sensor is designed to be used in temperatures from -40 C to 82 C. The interior electronics are designed to be used between 0 C and 50 C.
