Lincoln does not make a machine called the MIG 180 Lincoln. Lincoln makes a machine called the Power MIG 180C.
The Weld Pak 180HD sold by Lincoln Electric is a great machine for the average user. It provides many years of dependable service and can tackle almost any job that a homeowner can throw at it.
The differences between the Weld Pak 180HD and the Power MIG 180C are as follows:
Power MIG 180C:
1. Power MIG 180C is our Industrial model and is a more expensive machine.
2. Upgraded wire drive motor- full cast aluminum system with split wire guide for less tangles and dual driven gearing for superior feeding.
3. Infinite voltage and wire feed knobs. Provides fine tuning capability of the welding arc not found in the Weld Pak 180HD.
4. Upgraded transformer system with Diamond Core technology for smoother starts.
