Hello,

The picture shows the complete unit, tub and wall section. The tub and walls however need to be purchased together to complete the unit.

What is included in the above is the 3-pc wall section only.

Thank you.

The only thing that comes with this is the back wall and the two side walls. The tub section is separate. Please see below for the tub option (available left or right hand). I hope this helps.

Question
Do these shower walls need to be caulked?
I am planning to do a bathroom reno and wanted the one piece unit but have been informed that I could not do that without removing walls. I do not want to have to caulk the tub surround and heard Mirolin has some kind of no-caulking required tub surround.

Question
Can this be placed over existing tile?
I am thinking about something like this as I don't like the tile in my shower. Do I have to remove the tile before putting this in or can it go over top?

Hello,

Yes, you need to remove all material from your walls. When installing these types of units, the tub, tiles and drywall should be removed. You will be left with bare stud walls.
FYI - when covering existing materials like tile or drywall, you may be covering a problem you didn't know was there (water damage, mold etc.)
Take the time and effort to do it right the first time - you'll be glad you did!

Thank you.

Question
What is the depth of this tub?
The depth listed on this page (walls) says the depth is 24.5", but the page with the actual tub says 32.5". That's a big difference. Is there such thing as a tub/shower combo that's only 30"-31" deep? I'm renovating an older home, and the ensuite is very tight.

Hello,

This product comes in two sections to make up the whole. There is a wall section (3 panels) and a tub section. The depth of the wall section is 24.25". The tub measurement is located on another page and the total depth of the bathtub is 32.5".
Mirolin does not currently manufacture a 30" tub/shower combination unit.

Hello,

It sounds like the Belaire would fit your width and depth requirements. As this is a renovation you would likely need the Multipiece version (shown above). The only other measurement that you would need to confirm is the height measurement. The total height of this unit is 80" high.
You can view and download detailed specs from our website should you need to: www.mirolin.com.

Thank you.

Hello,

Most Mirolin models are designed to fit in "standard" bath openings. Modifying the units is not recommended as it will void the Warranty. Additionally, the product may not perform to expectations.

* If you are measuring your opening from say tile to tile, you must take into account the thickness of the tile and backing material (drywall). Once all this material is removed, you will likely end up with a 60" opening which can accommodate several products.

Thank you.

Hello,

Without more information, it's difficult to get you a good answer...What type of surround? Direct to stud or glue-up? What type of material? Who makes your current shower base? Is it installed? Is the surround going over tile, cement board or drywall? Are you planning on installing a shower door? One-piece or Multi-piece? Etc.

Thank you.

Question
I just had a Belaire 3 piece tub surround and tub installed
in my bathroom and found out the carpenter did not fasten the ends of the tub to the studs, he only fastened the long side. It seems like the tub is noisy, could that be because the end is not fastened to the wall. Could I encounter other problems in the future?

Hello,

Assuming the installation instructions were followed, you should not have any issues. You can call in to 1-800-760-3388 and ask for tech support to better describe the noise you are experiencing.

Hello,

Sounds like you should be ok. The total height of the bathtub portion is 22", turned on its side, the tub would clear the width of your doorway. The wall sections are in three pieces and will pass through easily.

Thank you.
