With regards to the door and base option, if you are using tile on the wall, you do not need to purchase anything else from Mirolin to install the unit.

You can purchase Acrylic walls to accompany the unit if you wish. They are designed to fit the unit and are a "direct to stud" application (you don't need drywall behind the unit)

This shower stall allows you to "customize" your look, either purchase the walls to go with it or, use tile on the walls instead, your choice!

The Sorrento Series is available in two versions: with or without walls. The image seen here is of the Sorrento 42" as a door and base only. There are Acrylic walls that can be purchased along with the door and base. The seat is in the corner of the stall along with some shelves for soaps and shampoos etc. Look for the Sorrento 42" shower package, this image will allow you to see the seat.

No. The base is cannot be tiled. The purpose of the base is so that you don't have to tile. It eliminates grout lines and the characteristics that comes with them, it is easier to clean and maintain and also provides a solid barrier to prevent water leakage.
