Questions & Answers for Allure Allure Tile Sedona - 24 Sq. Ft. Case

Question
Our floor has been laid for about two months. There are some seams that will not stay together.
The tiles can be pressed together and they will stay for several hours, but will eventually come apart again. The adhesive seems very sticky, but will not hold permanently. As time goes on, there seem to be more seams separating.

Question
Does cold in an entrance way have any impact upon the adhesion in this product/
I plan to install it in my entrance in the next week or so. It is cold here in Northern Ontario and I am concerned if the cold will impact the adhesion for instillation or once complete. I have been told that the cold of an entrance can cause the adhesion of the tabs to delamiate.

You don<t put any sub flooring under that product because it has to be installed on a really hard surface, like cement or plywood. But you may put under the plywood a 1 inch. foam to isolate your room.

Allure can be installed over most existing floors including wood, vinyl, linoleum, ceramic tiles and concrete. All subfloors must be sound, solid and have little flexibility. Tolerance is 3/16” over 8’.

In the installation guide of this product, it says that you can't install it in a solarium or a three season piece. You got to control the "temp" around 5 degree up to 37 degree"

Allure is for interior installations and only in temperature controlled environments. You can not install Allure in Solariums/Sunrooms, over Carpets, or any Exterior Application including seasonal porches, camping trailers and boats. Avoid long term exposure to direct sunlight. Failure to properly shade Allure from the effects of the sun can damage (buckle) the floor. Allure is not intended for use on stairs or any vertical surface.
Failure to follow these guidelines will void the warranty.

I would suggest 10 cases which would include the 10% overage. Most installations require about 10% overage. However this can vary depending upon the room size and layout. I hope this helps.

Ooh, that's a tough one. You may need to cut the allure back away from the sloping drain. The floor needs to lay flat and can’t bend down a slope.
