The Milano design is no more difficult to clean than any others patterns or designs. However, darker patterns will show dirt and wear and tear more, which is true of any flooring materials.

My first suggestion would be to try a scotch-brite pad with some mild detergent. Try rubbing lightly on the scuff mark going with the grain if possible. If this does not work I would recommend using a small amount of mineral spirits with a soft cloth.

Our warranty does not cover vertical installations. If I was going to do this type of installation I would use a construction adhesive, like PL 2000 or Liquid Nails. AGAIN, we do recommend Allure of these types of installations nor are we going to warranty the product at all.

allure is waterproof so it can be installed directly over concrete floors in the basement. If your concrete floor has any bumps or burrs of concrete sticking up, simply knock them off with a hammer and chisel. If the concrete floor has any larger dips or holes, you may want to apply a floor leveler to fill those areas, depending on the size and shape of the imperfections. Concrete floors emit moisture or hydro static pressure which could affect the performance of the floor. Consider putting down a moisture/vapor barrier first.

The Milano plank is not designed to go in a garage. It would not hold up against car tires. However there is an Allure Commercial spec that is perfect for use in your garage. Look for the Allure Commercial in your HD stores. There are several patterns in stock.
