In other words, with 3 Gel Cannisters in it what does it work out to?

The gel fuel does crackle when lit. It sounds like a real fire.

The gel fuel can be purchased online (24 per case) for a cost includng delivery of $99.99. $4.16 per can. The gel fuel can also be bought at the Home Depot store for a little less as there are no shipping costs involved.

It's a gel flame, so there is a flame. They're like the gel canisters used to heat food, so they do give off some heat.

The fireplace can hold a flat screen up to 42". You must ensure that the mantel is somehow secured to the wall for safety. We DO NOT recommend placing a TV of any size on top of the mantel without a bracket or some device to secure the mantel to the wall.

There is no fan. This Fireplace is for gel fuel. The gel fuel is lit with a match or lighter.Gel fuel comes in a can and may be purchased at your local Home Depot store or online.

Each can of gel fuel last up to 3 hours. The gel fuel can be bought in the Home depot store or on line.

Yes gel fuel can be used again and again until the can is empty. The can averages 2-3 hours burning time.

The gel fuel should be used only in an outdoor situation. It is not recomended for indoor use as the label states.

The whistler Gel Fireplace is for indoor use. You can purchase indoor gel fuel at Home depot. The current Paramount brand is for outdoor use only.
