As long as the tile they are putting Aspect over is a smooth surface and customer covers the tiles with a oil based primer it’s ok. An alternative would be to use a construction adhesive and place 4 dime size drops on the back of the Aspect tile to ensure proper bond over the existing tile if not primed or if the existing tile does not have a smooth flat surface for bonding.

The product is actually two layers of aluminum with a core of polyethylene resin. The tiles can handle over 400 degrees of heat and accordingly are ideal for behind stoves. Hope this helps.
