Can this be Installed in a custom wooden mantle hood
Essentially, I want to know if the controls are on the underside rather than on the front as in conventional hoods. I have a beauful wooden enclosure with a mantle, ready for a hood to be installed in a large (accessible to an installer) cavity above the range. But to use, the control switches will have to be accessible from below.

The controls are mounted underneath and as long as it is vented correctly, the Mantel installation should be acceptable.

The approximate width of this product is actually 29-7/8" the item width is 35" which includes the packaging for the unit. I hope this helps.
