Question
Painting inside kitchen cabinets
1. Could this be used to paint inside kitchen cabinets?
2. Could you paint inside part of cabinet doors with it? (I heard someone saying never paint wood doors of kitchen cabinets as they curve due to humidity an steam. Would it be true?
3. Can you paint this on the vertical outter side of kitchen cabinets? (the parts that cannot be disconnected and mounted horizontally). What brush is recommended and how many layers to achieve uniform painting (as melamine paint is typically self-levable).

1. Yes you can use this to paint the inside of your kitchen cabinets.
2. Yes you can paint the inside part of you cabinet doors with this. You will not have to worry about them curving as long as they are painted properly creating a seal from the steam and humidity.
3. Yes, you can paint the vertical outer side of a kitchen cabinet. It is recommended for best results to use a airless paint sprayer and thin the paint about 10%.
I hope this helps.

Question
Minimum painting temperature
What is the minimum painting temperature for this product? I'm planning to use it to paint kitchen cabinets. I'm thinking of removing the doors to place them in the garage, on a horizontal position, for self-leveling and to achieve uniform layer of paint. What is the minimum working temperature? How about drying time vs. temperature? Can I leave the doors in the garage overnight (temperature might go below 0 deg C) in early March?

The minimum painting temperature for this product is 10°C. The dry and re-coat time on the label of the can is based on 25°C. If the temperature is lower then it will cause the dry and re-coat time to be longer and slower. If doing this in cooler weather it is recommended not to apply too thick as it will take days to be able to re-coat and it may wrinkle. I hope this helps.

Question
What paint thinner?
Can this paint be thinned in order to be used with a paint sprayer? I understand, for painting kitchen cabinets, best results are obtained using a sprayer rather than a brush, could anyone confirm/comment? Thanks!

Question
Can this paint be used to turn a chalkboard into a dry-erase board?

The paint was not intended for this sort of project. My initial concern would be the paint sticking to the chalkboard. It is an oil based product which has the highest adhesion characteristics of paint and “should” adhere. The dry-erase part is much more concerning. I doubt it would produce a finish as tough and smooth as the plastic dry-erase boards. The marker would likely stain the surface and not come completely clean. I don’t think any liquid application would be suitable for this.

Hope this helps.
