The 52 In. Winthrop ceiling fan features a rustic bronze finish that has a transitional look and comes with a dome style light kit with aged champagne glass and uses 3 x 40W candelabra base bulbs. This fan is SCC compliant with a 190W limiter. The powerful 172 x 14mm motor offers maximum air circulation and also has a multi-capacitor for quiet and efficient operation.

How long is the rod that is standard with this light? Can it be mounted 3-4 ft downward?

This fan comes with a 4.5" downrod and has 54" lead wires. So yes it can be mounted with 3'-4' downrod.

The rod that comes with the fan is 3.5 inch and the fan can use a longer rod but that is only sold at the Home Depot store. The diameter of the rod is ¾ inch non threaded. Hope this helps.

No, this fan has a integrated dome light kit and is part of it's design.

The fan cannot be installed without the light kit. The cap is not available for this model from the manufacturer at this time. Hope this helps.

Yes, if you can find one to fit. THD doesn't sell these, only longer downrods.

can a manual wall mounted lutron fan speed control be used with this fan?
would one leave speed at maximum setting with chain on fan unit, and over ride it with the wall control? is this a remote control fan?if so lutron says thier manual control can not be used.i hate remotes as dogs eat them and kids flush them down the toilet!!

This isn't a remote control fan, but you are correct...just set the fan on high speed and light. Then you can install your wall control to operate the fan.
