No, this ceiling fan does not come with an extendable rod to hang on vaulted ceilings, you will need to purchase a longer down rod. I hope this helps.

Unfortunately only this LED light plate is available. This fan was introduced strictly for energy conservation and this LED light plate is guaranteed for 5 years.

There is no other light kit fixture that you can use for the Edgemont. That is the only fan that comes with a LED lighting. Cannot exceed wattage to it and there is no other light kits suitable for that fan. Hope this helps.

Currently this fan doesn't have a remote control due to the LED light source, but one is being manufactured that will control both LED and CFL bulbs. This new remote control will be available this year and will give you the option to dim incandescnet bulbs or to turn CFL and LEDs on or off.

As this model does not have a remote control, can you add a wall switch to control it?
I have a 14 feet vaulted ceiling and I am looking at my options, do I absolutely need to buy a model with a remote or are there ways to add a special fan switch to control it? Tks!

You can add a wall control to control the fan speed, but the light can be only on or off. The LED light source can't be dimmed.

Is there an alternate light replacement for brighter light?
The lighting that the fan gives off is terrible. A brighter option would be great.

Unfortunately not at this time, this fan uses only a LED light plate and the brightness of LEDs is still not as bright as incandescent, CFLs or halogen bulbs. This LED technology was introduced strictly for energy conservation plus is guaranteed for 5 years. If the LED light plate fails to work, a replacement is available free of charge.

Question
LED Blinking problem
We had dimmer switch for both fan and light and when ever the dimmer was not turned to full power the LED light would just constantly blink. I have since changed the switch. One to operate light and one for the fan. However the LED light still blinks constantly. Looking for some help with this constantly blinking light.

This LED light source can not be used with any sort of dimming wall control/switch or it will blink. To work with a wall switch, it would have to have a separate switch connected to the light kit wire (the blue one) and another switch for the fan motor connection (black and white wires) to control the speed of the fan. So basically a double gang electrical box. One side would have the light control (on/off only) and the other side of the box would have a fan speed control switch only.
