At the Home Depot, you can purchase additional parts to extend the unit including a wall mount bracket, a 48" vertical panel, shelves and a rod or two (depending on what you want to do)

Hello again, we have now purchased this unit and can assure you that the centre piece can be fixed left or right.

Having seen the display set up and since it is wall hung, the pieces are movable with some limitations - ie - the rod and shelving is no longer than 35 inches long. How long is the wall that you plan on putting this unit on? It may help me with other options to suggest to you.

Question
What is the weight capacity of the wall brackets?

The manufacturer does not have a weight capacity of the rail that attaches to the wall because the weakest link is the vertical wall panel that hangs on the rail. For that, they do have a weight limit of 240 lbs per vertical. Hope this helps.

Question
Can you purchase just one long vertical board?
I like a finished look on the end but like the two long pieces on either side of the drawer section. This end is very obvious when you walk into my closet. To me it would look more complete and like it was built in if it had an end wall instead of half a board.

Unfortunately this is not possible as all the pieces come as a kit. You might have to contact the manufacturer to request separate parts. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Question
Can the rods be made shorter than 24"?
Our closet is 68" wide. With the centre shelving part of this organizer taking up 24", that leaves 44" for rods. This is too long for the maximum 35" rod width if we were to use a single rod section, but divided in two is too short (22") for the minumum rod width if we were to use two rod sections. Is it possible to shorten the rods?

Yes, they are adjustable and close down to 18”. If you want them shorter, you can be cut down with a hacksaw to any shorter dimension. Hope this helps.

It can be installed anywhere. However, if there isn’t a side wall next to the vertical panel, you will need a shelf pack (24” or 35”) to attach and fasten the vertical so it is stable. Hope this helps.

Question
Does this unit have to fit between two end walls or can it go by itself with the 48" panels added on the ends for support to what is in with the kit??
the ends don't reach the floor.

It does not need to reach and end (corner). It can stand by itself on a straight wall. So, yes, it can go by itself with the panels on the ends as long as those panels hang on the support rail.

Yes, you can add shelves on top. You can lower the rod, remove them, then if you change your mind you can put them back!
