i purchased 2 of the hampton bay caswyck ceiling fans last july (7/2010). the receiver in one of the fans has also blown, like yours did. how do i go about replacing just the receiver (in the fan)? The remotes (transmitters) work fine. i switched the code on the broken fan to match the good one and both remotes will operate the good fan, but neither remote will operate the broken fan.....so it defintely is receiver trouble. what did you do?

Usually most fans have a blended in colour switch around the blades of the fan that switches from forward to reverse.

How do I get replacement glass for my Caswyck ceiling fan?
And can I get it in white so that it actually EMITS some light, instead of this useless "Venetian Scavo Glass" which looks lovely, but casts NO light - excellent waste of power!!

Where can I get a new Remote?
I purchased an new Hampton Bay Caswyck 54" Ceiling Fan last season (Model 459 664) had was never able to get the unit wotrking correctly when the receiver was installed. In order to use the light over the winter i wired directly they worked (I also tried wiring the fan directly and it works as well). I have tested the battery (which I had to purchase seperateltly) and it still fresh but the remote does not light up when any of the buttons are pushed. My assumption is therefore that there is a problem with the remote.
(Remote model number is UC7083T)
As an aside both the remote and receiver are set to the same frequency.

Hampton Bay is the name on the box as manufacturer but it is made through Matison/ Minka. Toll free Number 1-800-307-3267. Ask to be connected to tech support and they can help you trouble shoot. if not, they will be willing to send u a remote out.
