It is about 18 inches high when laying flat, so no, it doesn't really fit well under most beds. However, the retractible hose is easy to use and goes under there no problem. You're just going to have to crouch down. I have 6 beds in my house and have had zero issues with cleaning under them via hose.

Yes it can tilt downwards to allow you to push it under your bed,

YES! My entire upper floor is laminate and the Dyson is great. There is a button to toggle the carpet brush on or in your case, off, for laminate. No scrapes, just nice clean hard surface floors.

How is this for Stairs?
Does it have the retractable hose so that I don't have to take the whole unit up the stairs?

YES! There is a hose that extends about 15 feet. No problem to use.

it claims to have 16 feet of reach for stair capacity...t he reach is so weird but its very coool. im a poor judge of height/distance however it for sure gives you enough to do most stairs and then move to the top to finish off anyways
