HOW DO YOU TIGHTEN A SCHLAGE MODEL 79912 HANDLE AND THE PLATE THAT IS NEXT TO DOOR FACE?
I HAVE THE SMALL PIN BUT I'M A LITTLE LEARY OF HOW TO USE IT, WE BOUGHT IT LAST YEAR AND THE HANDLES ARE LOOSE ALSO THE ROUND PLATE THAT IS FLUSH WITH THE DOOR FACE.

Thank you for your inquiry. Tightening the door handle to the door is done from the interior side of the door. On the model shown here, the two screws are exposed on the round "trim" and can be tightened with a phillips screwdriver. The round trim is snapped onto the metal chassis. If it is loose, please adjust it so that the screw holes are showing over the screws and snap it in to place (before tightening the screws).
If you actually have a different model where there are no screws showing, use the pin to remove the inside lever by pulling it straight off. Next pull the "trim" off (there are a couple of indentations around the edge where a small flat screwdriver can be used to pry it off). Tighten the 2 screws and reverse the steps.
