There is no shelving add-on kit, but you can purchase white melamine shelving separately at Home Depot stores.
Also, if you do add drawers at the bottom, you will have more shelves for the upper section.

Couple different ways:
- has a back panel, so simplest way is to screw through back panel into either a wall plug in dry wall, or a long enough screw into a stud behind the drywall
- better but slightly more time-consuming would be to purchase 2 small plastic or metal angle brackets at HD or any hardware store, screw them into either the top or bottom of the top shelf; and then into the wall, again into a drywall plug or into a stud behind the drywall.
