Yes, this product can be cut to size. You will need to purchase 1 additional set of regular rail brackets.

The product life expectancy of Vinyl railings is very good. The product will last basically forever and is low maintenance. Vinyl is a material that is impervious to moisture and other weather elements. In addition, for added strenght, it is reinforced with galvanized steel inserts.

Yes it can. The rail brackets included in each packaged section will fit against existing stone pillars. Plan to use the appropriate masonery screws and make sure to drill a pilot hole in the stone to facilitate the screw installation.

Are there any rail joiners available for these rails?
The existing wood rails on my porch are odd lengths. If there were joiners that fit inside the railings to be invisible I could use the wastage from the sides to add to the two rails on the front (110 inches each) to meet the stairs without more wastage and two unnecessary posts.

There is not a joinage system as the railing system is design to comply with building codes strenght requirements.
If you need lenghts of 110" or more, we recommend you take a look at adding a post or look for the Premium railing system available on special order from Plastival inc. It has lenghts of 6, 8 and 10 ft.
