Is this BBQ made in Canada?
I have read some reports that Broil Mate are made in Canada or the USA, but the Home Depot site says China. Can someone verify which is correct? My local store does not stock this model, so I would like know this before I order. Thanks

How hot should bbq get?
Just bought this and after half an hour it finally hit 350 and at 1 hour it hit 400. This doesn't seem right. Are the new bbq's not made to fit/work with 22 year gas fittings?

Have the gas company measure the line pressure. Depending on your area the pressure can differ. The bbq should get hotter than that after half an hour.

We just bought the 4 burner model and the fitting on the gas hose was larger than on our old gas BBQ .We had to get the fitting on our 20 yr old gas line changed.from3/8 in to 1/2 in.. It took less than 15 min to get up to 500 '

The grills at the store are porcelain coated cast iron. they have a matte finish, as opposed to a glossy finish.
The sovereign model is not a broil-mate, it's a Broil King. That model is not available at the home depot.

Original manufacturer's burners are available at the Home Depot, in the barbecue genius brand. There is one size of burner tube, and it's an exact fit for that model.

The cooking grids are matte finished with porcelain enamel. For the best performance and longevity, you need to 'season' the cast iron with cooking oil on a regular basis. If you don't perform regular maintenance, they can rust. However, with a little care they can last a lifetime.

The bbq is designed with a flav-r-wave cooking system. You do not require briquets. Using briquets in this bbq could damage the unit and void the warranty.
