Yes, Home Depot does offer custom size doors. They are available only in the stores through the special order program.

You should check with your local municipality to get accurate information on the building code for your area. Often, you are required to have the door self closing. Install Self Closing Hinges on the door. They are easy to install, and can be adjusted to close as quickly as you would like.

DIY Installation Question
Is this a 'pre-hung' door? Would I need to remove the frame of the existing door to insert this product in? Or could I just remove the hinges from the existing door and screw this door in? I currently have an interior door on my garage side (previous owners) and need to replace as this door is currently warping.

Yes, this door is pre-hung. There is a possibility that you will be able to just replace the door portion but not recommended. There is no guarantee that you would get the proper seal when the door is closed. In addition, there are several other factors that will determine if the door would fit properly including but not limited to the actual door dimensions, hinge size and location and handset/dead bolt location. You should also check with your local building code / by-laws to determine if this door is suitable for a garage door that enters into your house. Some municipalities require a fire rated door.

To answer your question, yes the special order doors do cost a bit more than pre-fabricated doors since they are customer made for your measurements. Hope this helps.

This Door and jamb are designed to work together. Unless your existing door system has the exact same dimensions as this door (including hinge size, hinge location, Lockset location, deadbolt location, door height, width and depth etc) it will not seal properly. It is not recommended to use the door slab only, if you are not sure that it will fit your existing frame properly.
