Will this range work without electricity?
I am interested in this range for our cabin. I know the ignition system is electronic, but will the oven still work without power?
I guess my question is: The controls for the oven, are they electronic as well?
Any information would be greatly appreciated!

You can light the surface burners with a match, however the glowbar on the oven has to be at a certain temperature before gas will flow to the oven. For your situation a gas cooktop might be a better choice. Refer to page 8 & 9 of the user maual. http://www.geappliances.ca/images/english/pdfs/183D9542P004.pdf

Unfortunately the only other fuel that this model can run on is liquid propane. I hope this helps.

This stove is 24" wide and unfortunately we do not have a 28" gas stove. Please visit http://www.homedepot.ca/webapp/wcs/... to see the gas ranges that are available. I hope this helps.
