Not really. You should dump the collector basket into an ice bucket so that the machine can maintain it's ability to generate ice without constantly being opened allowing in warm air. I'm sure it can keep up with your needs. If you require massive amounts of ice , start the day before, store it in the freezer and you will have about 60 pounds of ice ready for the next day.

Yes, this unit does store ice and it can be used as a source of ice at a social gathering. If you take a look at the reviews for this item, there is a picture of the basket that holds the ice.

You can leave it plugged in but the ice starts to melt as soon as it's made. You can take the ice and freeze it but it all sticks together in one big clump. I just re-break the ice up after it has been frozen for awhile and your good to go! Of course you don't need to do any of that if you just take the ice direct from the machine.

You do not have to unplug it after use, but you can not store ice in the machine. There is no cooling system for storing ice, just an ice bucket. Ice should be stored in a freezer to completely harden. then bag and bring to picnics or what have you.

I have found that it cost less to operate than opening and closing the freezer door on the refrigerator all the time. Plus it saves the wear and tear on your refrigerator's system.

Order on Monday, got it on Wednesday. Really can't complain about that.
It makes ice all day. all you need to do is empty the ice catcher bucket when it fills, about 90 minutes, then press start again and she just keeps making ice. around 30 pounds per day.
send it back? why? it works so well. but if you must send it back, just repack it, get return authorization number and ship it.

It takes about 2-5 business days for the product to arrive to you. This product produces 33 lbs (15kg) of ice per 24/hrs. If you are not happy with the product because of a defect then you can simply call the number that is posted near the shipping information and we will pay for the shipping to take it back and refund you your money along with the shipping you paid. However if there are no defects in the products and you are to return it then the shipping will not be reimbursed. Hope this helps.

Could only get over internet at this time. But that was no problem at all. would do it again in a heartbeat, but the thing works so well I do not see needing another for quite some time. Maybe later they might carry it in store, but for now/online only.

About 2 and a half containers full. Guessing about 6 to 8 pounds worth. Worth noting, the low fluid light will come on and the machine stops before the reservoir is fully empty.
