Attaching a headboard would be difficult since the pedestal of the bed is narrower than the surface of the platform. Most headboards have legs that attach to the extreme edges of the frame of the bed.

Unfortunately the Lux Full/Queen Headboard will not fit the 60' platform bed but it will fit with the 54" platform bed http://www.homedepot.ca/webapp/wcs/.... I hope this helps.
