Can this paint be used on new unprimed drywall?

well you are supposed to. I found though that it did not go on well on an unprimed wall.
Even the wall that was primed... I still had to put three coats on. After the second coat, I could see the blotchy spots from where I had patched nails in the drywall.
I found it to be an expensive paint considering the "all in one" is supposed to be cheaper and easier to use. I disagree with this statement.
