Is backing required?
One of these mirrors is installed but I wish to relocate it to a new bathroom. Do I need to have wood backing behind the drywall to support the mirror brackets?

Installing this unit directly onto drywall without having a stud behind it is fine. I hope this helps.

Can these be used horizontally with an oval mirror?
Thinking of putting up an oval mirror over my vanity that can tilt up/down somewhat for shorter/taller people. Could these clips work for that application?
