Please see the attached pictures for products that can be used to seal a concrete driveway. Now if you are talking about fixing cracks and minor pot holes on the concrete driveway, for that you can just use a concrete patching cement. Hope this helps.

Question
Should I use both Wet Look Sealer and Concrete & Masonry waterproofer together?
Hi, I just had my backyard interlocked. I want to make sure it's fully protected from the elements. I was thinking of applying the Wet Look Sealer to maintain it's beauty and the Concrete & Masonry waterproofer to protect it. I was wondering do I really need both products? If, I do, which product should I apply first?

We are glad you are considering Behr products to seal your backyard. Both products are not necessary to protect the surface. Keep in ming that Behr's Concrete and Masonry Waterproofer should be applied on a bare substrate and can not have a top coat applied over it.

The answer is no. One product only, both will achieve the protection required for the weather elements. The wetlook sealer will achieve a "wet look" semi gloss appearance after 2-3 coats. The masonary waterproofer will completely soak in after a single coat and waterproof the interlock without providing any shine or knowledge of it's appearance.

These are both waterbase products which appear milky in the bottle but dry completely transparent. Be cautious not to over apply or they can potentially dry somewhat with a haze. It is a common issue with DIY'rs who believe "more is better" which is not the case on a floor coating.

Thanks for considering, they are both outstanding products! Hope this helps.

Behr's Concrete and Masonry Waterproofer should be applied ot a dry surface. Moisture in the substrate can cause the coating to remain milky.

answer 2
yes the surface should be as dry as possible to maximize the penetration into the concrete.
Damp surfaces will inhibit the performance as not as much product will be allowed to soak into the concrete. Minimizing the sealing . Hope this helps.

Question
Will this product work on previously painted surfaces?
I have a cement porch that was painted with a epoxy piant and is now starting to wear off. With a good power washing, will the concrete and masonry waterproofer adhere to it? This porch is open to the elements.

Behr No. 98001 Concrete and Masonry Sealer will cover at a rate of 250 sq. ft. per gallon, and it should be applied with a 3/8” nap roller. If the previous coating is failing, then I would recommend that the previous coating be replaced, or at the very least have the peeling edges removed and sanded, or the peeling will continue and peel the waterproofer free from the surface as well.

Concrete floors and steps can be painted with Behr's Porch and Floor paint or Behr's 1-Part Epoxy Paint. These coatings are available in various colors and you can add the Non-Skid Additive for added skid resistance.

If the concrete needs patch work please use a concrete filler before the use of the preparation products necessary for the concrete paints.

Behr's floor coatings are not hydrostatic pressure resistant. A hydrostatic pressure resistant floor coating would be recommended to properly seal dampness.
