Its recommended the pads should be replaced every 3 months but depends on the environment you are in.

Will Home Depot be carrying this refill again?
I have been waiting for stock to appear at my local Home Depot, but it has been a very long time now and none have shown up at the store. The unit is not very helpful without being able to buy refills for it!

The last order for 16 x 25 replacements was shipped August of 2011.The store can reorder if they have no stock at that location.
