Battery (NOT INCLUDED) charging technology provides maximum pumping capacity. Utilizes deep cycle battery for more gallons pumped. Fully automatic system constantly monitors sump activity and responds instantly. Capable of removing up to 10,000 gallons per power outage. Capable of draining the average sump pit 1,000 times on a single charge. Easy installation, includes sump pump mounting tee, check valve and fittings needed for 1 1/4 In. and 1 1/2 In. PVC piping.

Hi Bren
The back-up battery for this unit can be purchased from the store through the special order program. You can give the store the SKU 441-622 and the following: the model number for the battery is FP12V27DCC which is about $120 and you will also need acid solution to activate the battery. The model number for that is FP7QTDCC which is about $15. I hope this information is helpful.
