To change the bulb you would need to gengtly turn the inner ring and it will pop out and you can insert new bulb and gently replace inner.

This recess unit has front re-lamping. To change the bulb, simply press against the fixture and turn counter-clockwise until loosened. When inserting a new bulb, follow the same steps but in reversed order.

You need to apply a small amount of presure to the bulb by pushing up and then twist and the bulb should come out.
