The min. Opening needed is 13.25 inches wide x 11 3/8 X 16 1/4 tall. Hope this helps.

lid won't line up right
I used the template and I thought I had followed the installation instructions exactly as shown however the lid won't line up exactly with the bin when the door is shut. There is at least an 1 1/2" gap where the front edge of the bin is open even when the door is shut. Can anyone point out to me what I'm doing wrong?
