Questions & Answers for Maxit Slatwall Solutions 48 In. x 12 In.slat Wall Tongue & Groove Feature Keeps Slat Wall Secure

Question
What is the best way to cut this product?
I have tried cutting it with a trim saw, which tends to rip and splinter the thin parts of the panel. A utility knife will cut the thin parts of the panel but can't handle the thick parts like the bends. Because it is so thick, I have trouble getting leverage with shears.

I used a table saw and chop saw, but with the blade installed backwards. Its less likely to chip the product. You certainly dont want to force the material onto the blade.

Question
It may be possible to cut to length with a mitre saw but what about other cuts such as corners around door frames or electrical boxes?
Since the panels are 12", they can't be cut on a standard 12" mitre saw in a single cut. But what about other cuts like cuts to width or cuts to fit in or around corners or cuts for light switches and electrical boxes?

Also, do you know of any trim pieces that can be used to cover the ends? After cutting, the pieces tend to be sharp and unattractive.

I would use a jigsaw for the small cuts and to cover it up try to find tape that would match the colour but I don't think these guys make end pieces yet.

Question
Can this product be mounted on a block wall?
We'd like to organize our garage and this product offers a possible solution. However, the overview indicates that the slatwall can be mounted on studs or drywall, of which we do not have in our garage. The interior of the garage is a block wall. Would we be able to install this on a block wall?

Question
When will more accessories be available?
The slats are not standard sizes. Standard slat wall accessories (hooks, baskets, etc) from other retailers don't work. I just purchased 20 of these panels but without knowing the slat sizes are 4 inches and not the standard 3 inches.
