Hi Frusrtrated1,
To access the instructions you can visit http://www.barretteoutdoorliving.co... and for the floor you can use either a concrete slab or wooden platform. Please see pages 7 and 8 in the manual for the specification for the foundation. I hope this helps.

Question
Can it be installed against the wall?
On page 6 of the manual, in "How to Prepare the Building Site and Anchor the Building" section, it says "In selecting the site, allow approximately 1.52m of clearance on all sides". Does this mean the shed can not be installed against the wall?

This shed can be installed against a wall with at least 1 foot clearance on that side. The reason for this clearance is so that you can easily install the roof panels. I hope this helps.

Question
can I remove one of the panels to make it shorter?
I would like this shed but 7 feet is to long for where I want to install it. Would it be possible to build it without installing the 10" panel (on both walls and roof)? I'm guessing I would have to cut the top and bottom trim but I'm handy enough to do that.

Unfortunately, it is not recommended to make the shed shorter. You will also void your warranty if you decide to shorten it. Sorry for the inconvenience.
