Question
The light turns on and off seemingly at random. It hasn't done this before -- it has worked just fine until recently. I can't figure out the reason.
The timer is not set, nor is the light delay turned on. When the light randomly turns on, the fan slows down and then, when the light suddenly shuts off shortly thereafter, the fan speeds up. And then the cycle starts again (ie, on and off, on and off). It seems to do it whether the fan is on auto or manual control. The fan has been up for a couple of years, but this "behaviour" is new. Any ideas???

Question
Can the fan be mounted on an angled(vaulted) ceiling?
Does the fan allow for angled mounting, or do you need a kit for this? Where do I get it? also, is there a longer downrod with it, or can I get one ,so that the fan is not so high up in the room. Thanks!

Yes, this fan does allow for an angled(vaulted) ceiling installation. Please not that the maximum angle allowable is 30 degrees. If you need a longer down rod this ceiling fan can accommodate it but is sold separately. Please visit http://www.homedepot.ca/webapp/wcs/... to the down rod extensions that are online. I hope this helps.
