Question
How will this behave with multiple units in the same room?
I have my home theatre lighting arranged in two seperately switched groups, so that the lights over the screen can be dimmed differently from the lights over the seating area. How would this product and its remote behave in a situation with more than 1 of these in the same multi-gang box?

on Maestro Ir Remote Control Dimmer in White

Not advised to use two of these dimmers in a location where the remote will signal more than one dimmer unless that is what you want. In other words if you have two of these IR dimmers side by side and you only wish to activate one, you'll need to cover the black IR window of the dimmer you don't want responding to the remote. Kind of pointless, no? There is no way of getting different remotes for each dimmer as they all use the same IR 'frequency'. This problem also occurs in rooms where there are highly reflective surfaces and you end up 'bouncing' the IR signal and hitting a dimmer on a wall behind you when you meant to dim the lights connected to the dimmer in front of you.

Won't really work. All the remotes use the same remote signal. So, you would have to have the light switches all on different walls so you could point only at the one.
