Yes, two attachments. I found the smaller one with the fixed brush easier to use the the slightly larger one that has an air-driven brush spinner that frankly is useless.

It has a long hose (about 5 ft I think) and it has both a rotating brush attached when you buy it and a brush head that you can use to go back and forth on the carpet if that's your sort of thing. I have never used it though, the rotating one is better anyways.

The accessories that come with this unit are: 3" Tough Stain Tool, Spraying Crevice Tool, TurboBrush. The upholstery hose is 9' long. I hope this helps.

Question
How well does this clean?
Hi, just wondered how well this item cleans. Is it better to rent one of those machines, or does this one do it?

I had just had my carpets cleaned by a 'cleaning' company about a month before purchasing this machine. With a new puppy, there were many areas that needed cleaning. I was amazed that this machine seemed to clean better than the 'cleaning' company did. There was a lot of dirt that came out, even in areas that had not been trafficed or dirtied by the dog. I think it's a great option for the average home-owner that wants to be able to clean their carpets from time to time without the expense and hassle of renting a machine. Beware that the holding tank is very small and requires frequent emptying, and is a bit clumsy to disassemble and reassemble each time. My major hangup with this machine. I like the built-in heater because we have a Rinnai which never gets over 120 degrees, and you need much hotter water to do a good job on cleaning carpets.

This vacuum works great and why would you rent a machine time after time when you can own this.

does it work on bare floors as well?

No...this is strictly a carpet cleaner. You may want some other item to clean hard surfaces, and NEVER use hot water type machines on hardwood and especially NOT on laminate flooring unless you want to ruin it.

Unfortunately, it is not recommended to use this unit on bare floors. I hope this helps.

It is a carpet cleaner that uses hot water (not 'steam') and suctions the dirty water up. Not to be used as a vacuum.

answer 2
This is not a steam cleaner nor a vacuum cleaner. It is a carpet cleaner which turns its brushes as it releases the cleaner, however it sucks the cleaner as it releases it so there isn't any cleaner left behind. Hope that helps.

Question
How easy is it to change belts when necessary?

5 years and I have never had to change belts. I have used this cleaner about 4 times a year for about an hour at a time. If you do though, everything is unscrewable and even though I have never done it I myself wouldn't attempt it. Just lucky it's a good product and the belts are still going strong.
