Questions & Answers for PEAK Adjustable Ground Spike

Question
can I use this for supporting a deck?
I want to put in a small deck outside my front door. Only about 200sf and only just above a muddy section of yard, so it's not a deck off a second story or anything. The ground is very rocky and hard to dig, so I thought I could just drive in these spikes instead of digging footings. So, are these OK for deck support, or only for fencing.

It is suggested to contact your local municipality to find out if there any codes against using this for your application. The ground spike can handle (horizontal and vertical) force of up to 95-100 kg. I hope this helps.

Question
Are there alternatives to digging and pouring concrete footings?
My wife and I are planning on building a deck in our back yard and were curious as to whether or not there was some alternative to digging holes and pouring concrete for the footings. Are there any kind of blocks that could just be placed on the ground where posts are needed?

Question
Can this be used to support play equipment?
I am planning on building a play set for my children. The plan will be for a two level structure, open underneath for a sandbox and a platform at about four feet high. Total dimensions will be 5' wide, 4' deep.

I don't plan on having a swing (no sway), but will have a slide.
