There might be some compatibility issues with using this product and the polystyrene rigid insulation. It is recommended that you actually use PL Premium instead of this product as as it would not attack the coating of the insulation. Hope this helps.

PL 9000 is an adhesive - it is not recommended for sealing. Home Depot currently does not carry any Henkel items for this prupose. You may want to investigate a foam product you can find in building materials

PL 9000 is not recommended for installing a mirror as the solvents may damage the back of the mirror. That said - it can be used to bond 1" natural stone tiles to the wall.

Question
Recommendation requested for attaching foam board to steel
I have installed vertical steel sheathing around the base of my cottage and wish to glue foam board to the inside surface of the steel. Temperature is expected to be in the 40F degree range. I need a exterior grade glue which will provide instant adhesion without further bracing etc. The specs for PL9000 indicate strong initial adhesion and polystyrene foam board compatibility. But a recent reply from you indicates that: "There might be some compatibility issues with using this product and the polystyrene rigid insulation. It is recommended that you actually use PL Premium instead of this product as it would not attack the coating of the insulation." Isn't PL9000 specifically designed for adhering polysterene board insulation? Is PL Premium the best product for me to use?

The solvents in PL 9000 could damage polystyrene foam. PL Premium is recommended for this purpose but could need some support depending on size and weight of foam installed. If you need more stronger initial grab we suggest PL Premium Advanced as it has 3 times the initial grab of PL Premium- Available at Home Depot

Can PL 9000 be applied over the cracked grout between exterior porcelain wall tiles
The tiles were installed three years ago, and the grout is cracking. What is the colour of PL 9000, i.e. is it colourless and how do we apply and use it? How long does it take to cure? etc.

Question
Repair of natural stone chip in fireplace hearth?
I have a fairly large chip in a natural stone fireplace hearth (approximately 5"x1.5"). Can I use this product to affix the stone fragment back in place? I didn't want to re-morter since it would cause the fragment to stick out.
