Question
Preparing the subfloor to install ceramica.
I am installing ceramica on kitchen floor. I had old floor ripped out, and currently have plywood subfloor. I understand that I need to apply professional primer. What is professional primer? Is it the same primer that you put on a wall for the paint?

Thank you very much.

You can use any recommended vinyl cleaner. Armstrong's Once and Done works well.

answer 2
Make sure the cleaner you choose is an allpurpose liquid cleaner that is NONABRASIVE.
We do not recommend powdered cleaners, oil soaps, dishwashing detergents, or other dusting products. Try to use a nonrinsing, biodegradable cleaner that leaves no residue or haze and requires no rinsing after application.

Question
Do you recommend a tile adhesive as well
I was wondering if I should use a tile adhesive with the peel and stick groutable tiles. Would this give me a better bond as I am installing this product over a existing linoleum floor?

Question
How to install over hardwood w/o damaging hardwood below
I would like to install the Ceramica over an oak hardwood floor w/o causing damage to the hardwood since later I may wish to remove the Ceramica and go back to having a hardwood floor. What is recommended in this case?

There is no way that you can install any self stick tile without damaging the floor underneath. If you want to protect the floor you would have to lay a plywood subfloor over the oak floor and then lay the Ceramica. I hope that helps!

answer 2
You should use the Allure product instead. It is a free floating floor versus a self stick. This way you can just roll up the product when you want to remove it.

SHOULD I PRIME FLOOR BEFORE LAYING TILE

If the subfloor is plywood, hardboard, or other approved material, we recommend an application of professional primer. Primer MUST be used for raw concrete subfloors. The primer prepares the floor and prevents the subfloor from absorbing all of the adhesive, which may cause future failures.
