Yes these tiles can be applied directly over a concrete floor but you will first need to clean and dry the floor. Also it is recommended to prime and seal the concrete before laying the tile to prevent moisture from breaking down the adhesive on the tiles. I hope this helps.

Question
I have an uneven floor in spots, will this be an issue?

This will only be an issue if the uneven spots are really bad. You can use a floor leveler but if the uneven parts are gradual and not very noticeable then you may be OK. Please note that the floor will take the form of the floor underneath, so if it is really bad you may encounter cracking. I hope this helps.

Question
Can these be applied directly over older vinyl flooring?

Many successful installations have been made over existing vinyl floors. In such cases, the existing tile or sheet vinyl must be securely adhered to the subfloor, smooth, and free of surface defects or wax. Loose or damaged areas should be patched or replaced. Do not sand existing vinyl floors under any circumstances. Good luck!

If you mean around every tile, you do not need to edge the tiles. If you mean around the edge of the room…put down baseboard molding (not required).

I would not recommend this product for a front entrance way. The urethane finish will make it a little slippery when wet. The TrafficMaster Ceramica 12x12 vinyl tiles will be your best option for an entrance way in the vinyl 12x12 category.
