I recommend reasearching an exterior carpet adhesive as contact cement could damage your carpet.

Unfortunately it is not recommended to use this product for outdoor applications. It is recommended to use a product like PL Premium which can be found at http://www.homedepot.ca/webapp/wcs/.... I hope this helps.

No this will not dry underwater. Contact Cements are a special type of adhesive. They will only form bonds to themselves. Therefore, it is required to apply contact cements to both surfaces, allow them to "dry" and then assemble both materials together. Uniform pressure is required over the entire surface. Bonding is instantaneous and you cannot reposition the surfaces once assembled. Contact Cements should only be used on flat, close mating surfaces (no gaps!).

Since Pres-tite Blue is a solvent-based adhesive it can damage certain plastics. We have not tested Pres-tite Blue Contact Cement on Lexan plastic. Also, since this is an exterior application, a product rated for the outdoors would be more appropriate. My recommendation would be to use LePage PL Premium Polyrurethane Construction Adhesive to bond the dowels to the Lexan sheet. Make sure that the parts are clamped or held together for at least 24 hours after application.

Question
What adhesive should you use to attach a ceramic soap dish to a ceramic tile?

You have two options - You can use either No More Nails Tape or Marine Epoxy. In either case the face of the tile should be sanded a little to remove glaze and the tile should be 100% clean before either the Tape or Adhesive is appied.
