Did you get that measurement by measuring wall to wall (drywall, tile etc.) or from stud to stud (rough construction)? The 60" measurement is rough construction size as your tub goes in BEFORE finished wall materials (drywall, concrete bord, tile etc). This can be a common error and wanted to check. You add in wall board and tile and that would possibly account for the missing 1 1/4 inches.

The acrylic tubs manufactured by American Standard are available in a minimum of 60 inches in length. One option for your requirements, may be a shower unit? American Standard makes them in various sizes, and can be seen at www.americanstandard.ca.
