Question
Will this thermostat work with a dual energy, electric / oil furnace, with no A/C?
The furnace works with a temperature sensor on the hydro meter outdoors, when the temp is below -12C, it switches from electric to oil.

Yes, you can use this thermostat with a dual energy system.Take a look at pages 22 and 23 in the installation manual at http://customer.honeywell.com/techl... as they will give you detailed re-wiring instructions from old to new thermostat. You might also want to look at the Honeywell model # RTH8500D, this one has a few more options. I hope this helps.

And YES you can use this thermostat with A DUAL Energy System. Check pages 22 & 23 as they will give you detailed re-wiring instructions from old to new thermostat.
You might also want to look at the Honeywell model # RTH8500D, this one has a few more options.

You can either have the fan run all the time OR have it go on and off when your furnace is calling for heat
