The landlord has given the ok for us to use this paint, as long as we can restore it to the original color of white if we ever leave this place. Is it very hard to remove or paint over this paint?

It is not difficult to paint over this paint. It is recommended when ready to first lightly sand the area, then apply Zinsser Bin Primer (see below), and finally paint. I hope this helps.

No it is not available in a zero VOC formula, however, seen as it is a waterbase product, the VOC level on this item is quite low, at 128g/litre. Hope this helps.

Can chalkboard paint be painted over top of an already painted wall?
I'm not sure if I would have to prime it first, or if it can just go straight on the wall.

You don't really need a primer for the chalkboard paint, but if the area where you are applying it is porous then you will need to use a primer. I hope this helps.
